WHERE

We are at the southern side of Evia Island in Greece. Just one hour ferry trip from international airport of Athens.

The neighborhood

Surrounded by sea and beaches the neighborhood is a small summer settlement on a lovely peninsula called "kefala" that means "big head" in greek language. Located in nature way far from city noise. Families with children, fisherman, and people that avoids crowds often visit the area.

In just 5 minutes by boat you can swim/snorkeling at Petalioi islands ("The turquoise islands"). The place were Aristotle Onassis with Jacqueline Kennedy, Maria Callas, Paolo Pasolini, Pablo Picasso, Antreas Empirikos and others used to hang out...

Getting around

This property is far from any kind of public transportation. You need a car to get around.
This property is located 5Km from the nearest village/harbor. Two of them are dirt/unsurfaced road (check photos), so a sports car is not a good idea. Although normal cars can make it we recommend you have a jeep, SUV or a "cross" type car. Going to the supermarket is 10 minutes drive.

Nearest village is Marmari village and it is 5Km away. You can find the essentials there (mini market, tavernas, cafeteria etc)
Nearest town is Karystos and it is 12Km away. Everything you need is there. (hospital, bank, supermarket, dry cleaner, restaurants, bars, cafeterias etc)

Make sure you have bought everything you need in advance.Water is NOT drinkable so make sure you have bottled water with you. If in any case you have forgotten something essential, do not worry. We are here to help.

Lastly as all Aegean islands, you might experience the local "meltemi". It is strong north winds that are mainly observed in August. They are a natural "air condition" for the entire eastern Greece and Aegean islands but sometimes it can be a bit disturbing.
